Tower Power – Lor-K in Marseille

‎ la‎ Fondation‎ Desperados‎ pour‎ l’art‎ urbain invites the artist Lor-K to invest the Marseille public space with a series of ephemeral urban sculptures.
Designed from waste and garbage recovered from the streets, the artist's favourite material, these works were produced in collaboration with five emerging talents selected following a call for projects. Each winner imagined a sculpture alongside Lor-K, mixing creative exchanges and collective reflection, before building it into the public space. Subject to weather, pedestrian passage and the hazards of urban cleaning, these sculptures will disappear. Only the photographs will keep track of them, witnesses to a creation as brief as it is intense.

With Tower PowerLor-K explores a new dimension of his work, marked by more than ten years of committed creations. For the first time, she takes a collaborative approach, co-signing each of the five totem sculptures with another artist. Made in a spirit of transmission and dialogue, these works reflect unique aesthetic and theoretical biases while carrying a strong message, rooted in the specificities of the territories where they come to life.
