Eligibility

Do you need a current practice in public space to apply?
No. Practice in the public space can still be active or belong to recent years. What matters is that she has played a structuring role in the artist's approach over the past five years, regardless of her frequency or intensity today.

Can we apply if we are represented?·e through a gallery?
Yes. Gallery representation is not a criterion taken into account in the evaluation of applications.

Can a collective apply?
Yes. Collectives can apply jointly. Only one application must then be submitted for the entire collective.

Can we apply if we have already received support from La Fondation ?
Yes. Applications will be reviewed according to the same criteria as all applications received.

Can we apply if we already benefit from other aids or scholarships?
Yes. The scholarship is compatible with other forms of support.
The scholarship

Should we present a specific project?
Not necessarily. The award may support a phase of research, experimentation or evolution of practice, without a formalized project being required. On the other hand, the dossier must allow the jury to understand why this moment is decisive in the artist's journey, and how the scholarship could actually contribute to it.

How can staffing be used?
In particular, the appropriation may be used to finance materials, experiments, production, exploration of a new medium, research time, travel, publishing or remuneration for artistic work time, more broadly, any expenditure related to the development of the practice presented in the file.

Are there ineligible expenses?
The grant is not intended to finance expenses unrelated to the artistic practice presented in the file.

Does the grant fund only projects in the public space?
No. The scholarship can accompany developments in practice towards other contexts, formats or mediums.

Do the winners have to produce a final work?
Not necessarily. The scholarship supports a phase of research, experimentation or development, it can also lead to the production of a work or corpus. What matters is the evolution undertaken more than the final form of the result.

Is the final presentation time an exhibition?
Not necessarily. This presentation time is thought of as a moment of sharing and dialogue around research, experimentation or projects developed during the scholarship period. It can take different forms depending on the work of the winners.

Is the allocation paid at one time?
No. The endowment is paid in two instalments: 70% at the date of the signing of the settlement by the winner and 30% during the scholarship period, no later than December 31, 2026.

Should the winners justify the use of the scholarship?
Yes. At the end of the presentation time, the winners submit La Fondation a simple one-to-two-page review describing the use of the grant and the evolution of research, experiments or projects developed during the grant period.

Who chooses the authors·the critical texts?
The authors·Price, criticism or curator·are selected·es by La Fondation based on the practices and research developed by the winners.

What documents should be transmitted?
Candidates·a must provide:
- a text presenting their artistic approach;
- a memorandum of intent;
- a visual portfolio;
- a CV or an artistic bio (optional).

Can video links be included in the PDF portfolio?
Yes. Video links can be included in the PDF portfolio when necessary to understand the work presented.

Can we change his application after he's sent?
No. Once submitted, the application cannot be changed.

Will incomplete applications be considered?
No. Any incomplete dossier cannot be examined.

Can illegal practices appear in the portfolio?
Yes. The portfolio can reflect the entire practice of the artist, including works made in the public space without permission. The jury evaluates the artistic approaches presented in their practice context.
