Support at a decisive moment
Urban art has led artists to emerge for several decades, whose trajectories are freed from traditional art circuits.
Trained in the street, nourished by a culture of autonomy and experimentation, many reach a tipping point: their practice seeks to expand, transform or structure, without the necessary time or means being always gathered.
It is precisely at this time that the Fondation Desperados for urban art chooses to intervene, giving artists the means to go further: to develop their practice beyond the public space, to explore new formats or mediums, to undertake new research, to structure an activity that has become more demanding, or simply to take the time to think differently.
THE BUREAU
- 5 artists or collectives selected
- An allocation of 10,000 € per winner·e
- Accompaniment by the team La Fondation and the members of the jury
- A critical text on the practice of each winner·e
This scholarship does not reward a journey: it accompanies a swing.
MAIN CONDITIONS
- Being born·e urban art
- Have developed a practice in public space over the last five years
- Be established·e in France or
- Being major·e at the time of application
No qualification requirements are required.
