Urban art at the heart of places of life

Invited by Offside Gallery, permanent gallery dedicated to urban art and located in the heart of the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, ‎ la‎ Fondation‎ Desperados‎ pour‎ l’art‎ urbain entrusted artist Niark with the realization of a monumental work on one of the walls of the courtyards of the stadium.

Based on a composition rhythmized by colorful and abstract forms, Niark deploys an unbridled bestiary: skulls, robots, hybrid monsters and fantasy animals simmering in a stunning visual whirlwind. Their silhouettes cross, intertwine and seem to sway in mass towards the ground, like crowds to bear·ice·s galvanized by collective fervour. Vibrating with bright colours and intense textures, the ensemble breathes into space a communicative energy, embodying the effervescence of the world of sport. This intervention is part of a broader desire to bring urban art to everyday life, creating bridges between contemporary creation and plural publics.
