Boku, Summer memories, Impressions partagées 2020
24 young artists, 6 cities, 1,200 works to discover and share
la Fondation Desperados pour l’art urbain, in collaboration with the association Le M.U.R, launches Impressions Partagées, a new project that highlights 24 emerging urban artists in six French cities: Marseille, Paris, Mulhouse, Rennes, Orléans and Bordeaux.
In each city, four artists were selected with the support of the local offices of the M.U.R. Each created an original work, reproduced in 50 numbered and signed copies. These 1,200 screen prints will be offered free of charge to the public via an online booking platform — within the limits of available copies.
In a context where the health crisis has weakened the cultural sector, Shared Impressions affirms its support for young creation and promotes access to art for all.t.es. By disseminating these works to as many people as possible, the project brings out the diversity and vitality of the contemporary French urban scene.
Every week, a city in honour
To accompany the dissemination of the works, La Fondation celebrates each week one of the six cities and its four artists. Video reports by Arthur Vlog, an urban art enthusiast, will be published every Monday on the Instagram account of La Fondation. These immersions will allow the public to discover behind the scenes of creation, the singular universes of artists and the energy of each territory.
The following day, the artists' works will be made available on the site of La Fondation, via an online reservation system. First come, first served!
