Urban Art Fair
In occasion of the Urban Art Fair 2026, la Fondation Desperados pour l’art urbain accompanies the artist from Marseille Stéphane Moscato presentation of a new project entitled Sensitive mapping.
Designed as a tool for searching and producing language in public space, this project marks an important evolution in the artist's practice. Known for his work around stencil and image, Stéphane Moscato explores here a more open and unstable form, where words become matter, gesture and trajectory in the city.
Presented in the particular context of an art fair, Sensitive mapping takes the form of a performance and textual intervention. Through fragments of phrases, inscriptions and movements in space, the artist outlines a subjective mapping of the place: a way to observe the fair, its circulations, its tensions and its implicit narratives.
Between drift, writing and urban gesture, the project questions how an artist from the street can invest an institutional and commercial environment, while maintaining a share of uncertainty and freedom.
By accompanying Stéphane Moscato in this phase of transformation of his practice, la Fondation Desperados pour l’art urbain reaffirms its commitment to artistic research, experimentation and the displacement of forms.
